SYF Gaming's Team Fortress 2 Division is a considerably new team, only forming before OWL6, however they have shown themselves as considerably skilled, winning division 2 in OWL6 and moving forward into division 1. This season they've made a small roster change, picking up feresar as their core soldier, and are ready for their first season in division 1. I caught up with Some_Thing to discuss his thoughts on the season ahead;
Taking division 2 as your own last season, how do you think you guys will do moving up to Australia's top division this season?
Moving up to Division 1 isn't a big stretch for us as we have been scrimming Division 1 teams since last season. Even with the latest additions to Division 1, I am still confident we can do well and be in the Top 5 teams this season.
You dropped dyse and picked up feresar on primary during the off-season. Why did you choose to pick this player up?
Wasn't so much we dropped Dyse, however he decided to move on. Picking up Feresar was the next logical step as he has a wealth of experience to share and could play just as well
as Dyse, if not better. It was also a decision made based on team bonding, as our core have had experience playing with Feresar before, whether that being in a team, LAN events or just being good friends.
Division one looks tough this season, do you guys think you've improved enough since last season to fair against iM or BoB?
Improved from last season, most definitely. The very reason our team exists is to improve. We strive to be the best we can be. iM and BoB have a very solid line up of players. I don't want to speculate if we can fair up against these teams, but what I will say is, it should be interesting.
